How the high-speed door configurator works

The configurator lets you put your high-speed door together yourself in seven steps – without data sheets and without a sales meeting beforehand. Every choice appears instantly in the live preview: the proportions adapt to the dimensions you enter, the curtain takes on the selected RAL colour, and vision panels, drive housing and sensors are drawn in. This lets you see how the door will look in your hall before you even send the enquiry.

At the end, the configurator summarises all your selections. This summary is sent with your enquiry and forms the basis for a specific, no-obligation quotation. If you are not yet sure which design suits you, the guide What is a high-speed door? explains the basics.

The options available

The table summarises the configurator steps and what to consider at each one. Background on the individual designs can be found on the pages for the indoor high-speed door, the outdoor high-speed door and the freezer door.

Information to have ready

The more complete your details, the faster and more accurate the quotation. A few key facts are enough for a reliable enquiry; guide values for headroom and side room per size can be found under sizes.

  • Clear width and height of the door opening – measured from wall to wall and from the finished floor to the underside of the lintel.
  • Space above and beside the opening for the winding shaft, drive and side guides.
  • Installation situation: internal wall between two hall areas, or external wall exposed to weather and wind.
  • Temperatures on both sides – decisive for curtain and insulation.
  • Passages per day and the type of traffic, such as forklift trucks, tugger trains or lorries.
  • Special requirements such as hygiene, cleanroom, explosion protection or escape route.

Typical configurations as a starting point

The following examples show proven combinations from practice. Use them as a starting point and adapt all options to your situation – for example, start directly with an outdoor door or a freezer door.

Background on these applications: logistics and warehousing, cold storage, food industry and vehicle wash bays.

Why configure online?

Traditionally, buying an industrial door starts with catalogues, data sheets and an appointment with a sales representative. The configurator reverses this order: you define the requirements yourself first and receive a quotation that reflects exactly those requirements. This saves rounds of coordination and makes quotations comparable, because all key data is available in writing.

Especially with several doors or tenders, the structured summary helps to bring planners, purchasing, maintenance and your installer up to the same level of information. The comparison of high-speed door, roller shutter and sectional door in the high-speed door guide provides a sound basis for the decision.

What happens after your enquiry

From enquiry to installed door, the process runs in clear steps:

  • Review: we check your configuration for technical plausibility, for example wind load, headroom and side room.
  • Questions: we clarify any open points briefly by phone or email – in English.
  • Quotation: you receive a no-obligation quotation based on your configuration.
  • Size approval: after your order, all dimensions including headroom and side room are agreed and approved in writing.
  • Manufacturing: the door is manufactured to measure according to the approved configuration.
  • Delivery: the door is delivered direct from the factory by freight forwarder, across Europe, with documentation for installation and operation and the declaration of performance.
  • Installation: installation and commissioning are carried out by your installer – your in-house maintenance team or a local door installer (details).

Frequently asked questions

How much does a high-speed door from the configurator cost?

The price depends on size, location, curtain, drive and accessories. An outdoor door with insulated curtain and frequency inverter costs considerably more than a simple indoor door of the same size. That is why you receive a specific quotation after we have reviewed your configuration, instead of a list price. The factors that determine the price are explained under high-speed door cost.

Is an enquiry via the configurator binding?

No. The enquiry is free of charge and without obligation. You receive a quotation based on your configuration and can then decide at your own pace.

Which sizes can I set in the configurator?

Width and height can each be set from 1,000 to 5,000 mm in 50 mm steps. You can also enter larger openings – they are marked as a special size and checked individually. Common formats are listed under sizes.

How accurate do my measurements need to be for the enquiry?

For the first enquiry, the clear width and height of the opening to within about 5 cm are sufficient. Before manufacturing, all dimensions including headroom and side room are agreed bindingly – ideally after your installer has checked them on site.

Can I request several doors at once?

Yes. Configure the first door and describe further doors in the message field, for example with different dimensions. If the doors differ significantly, it is best to send a separate configuration for each door.

Which safety equipment is required?

Power-operated doors fall under the product standard EN 13241, while EN 12453 covers safety in use. In practice, this includes a safety edge and usually a light curtain. We check which equipment your door specifically needs when preparing the quotation. Installation and commissioning are carried out by your installer in accordance with the documentation supplied and the national regulations in the country of installation.

What happens after I submit the configuration?

We check your details for technical plausibility, clarify open points by phone or email and send you a no-obligation quotation. After your approval, the dimensions are confirmed, the door is manufactured and delivered direct from the factory; installation is carried out by your installer. We do not provide installation on site. More on the process: delivery and installation.
